Has anybody been to a cherry blossom festival before? They’re so much fun! I couldn’t wait for the Southern California Cherry Blossom Festival this year, but alas, it got cancelled. *Sigh*Fortunately, I do have pictures from last year’s Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival to relive my memories! Note: today’s post is not on eyelashes. In fact, it has nothing to do with eyelashes. It is just full of lots of big, non-eyelash related photos simply because I felt like sharing my fun memories with y’all. =)
Enjoy!
Here we are, three friends clad in colorful yukata (Japanese summer kimono). We just arrived in San Francisco’s Japantown!

And yes, we are all wearing Elegant Lashes®!! Nothing over the top, though. We’re keeping it nice and simple. =)

Of course, we can’t forget the Japanese 3D nails!!
We were photographed everywhere we went as we were (surprisingly) one of the few people wearing yukata to the festival. It was a wee bit embarrassing, but flattering all the same!
Both girls wearing Elegant Lashes® here. And none of us have a clue which fabulous style it was. Tsk Tsk.

It wasn’t hard for me (I’m on the right) to remember which lashes I was wearing. They are my favorites: Elegant Lashes® M030 Mystic Lashes. <3!
Unfortunately I don’t have a close-up of my eyes this day. However, I took plenty close-ups of my favorite lashes in this blog post!

Ah yes, the mightily unfortunate event where I unknowingly stepped on somebody’s precious scoop of green tea ice cream. I am so sorry… =X
In case you are wondering, I am wearing $6 Wal-Mart flip flops because my large size-9 American feet do not fit inside tiny Japanese geta sandals. -.-

Oh my.

I do realize what we are doing is very juvenile child’s play, but hey, we got a ton of good laughs out of it!
This particular festival was held when the blossoms were starting to fall. The ground was littered with sakura petals and it was amusing watching the fallen blossoms swirl around our feet with every step we took. Like mini cherry blossom hurricanes.
Finally heading home after a fun day of food, friends, and photos. But not without taking one last picture with San Francisco’s iconic trolleys!
*Sigh* Good times!
I hope everyone enjoyed my little post down memory lane. Have you been to a cherry blossom festival this year?

You guys are so beautiful! Love the double lash effect! ^_^
Yay! And thanks! <3
wow~~ you guys r so pretty.
Thank you!
I was lucky enough to attend a Cherry Blossom festival in the spring of 2009 in Tokyo. I feel very fortunate for that experience.
also, I am a native Vancouverite, and my beloved hometown has tons of cherry blossom trees. They have a festival of there own there, now, too. But it didn’t start until after I moved away.
So, while I love springtime and cherry blossoms, they also make me think of exams. UBC (University of British Columbia) or even high school pre-Spring Break exams. ARRGH! Does anybody else still have an exam nightmare once in a while, even years after departing school?
The only Cherry Festival I have attended was in 1987 in Nago, Okinawa while we were stationed on Okinawa. What a wonderful cultural experience for our children. It was absolutely beautiful.
I LOVE sakura viewing in Japan!!! Picnic under the cherry blossoms = bliss. =)
