Halloween Looks with False Lashes: Glasgow

Searching for a Halloween look that will make a bold statement without requiring you to go out and buy an expensive costume?

A pair of big, spiky eyelashes is sometimes all you need to inspire a great Halloween-appropriate look! Case in point:

Halloween eyelashes don’t have to be crazy or colorful, and they certainly don’t have to be that cheap, itchy kind found in all the Halloween shops. In fact, the lashes I’m wearing are worn by other girls (and guys) as party lashes or even normal, everyday lashes!

…I’m just too chicken to wear them out on a day other than Halloween. =X

This is what the lashes look like (Elegant Lashes #030 Black False Eyelash). I don’t know if you can tell by the photo, but they’re pretty darn big!! (At least for my wimpy lashes…)

Now let me break a myth for you.

People usually think false eyelashes are meant to make someone look pretty. While that is the more conventional use for lashes, a pair of falsies will also complement a “scary” look by opening up the eyes more than any amount of dark shadow or eyeliner can, providing much-needed impact. Which is a very good thing, because you don’t want to have a creepy or scary concept and have dead, dull eyes. Totally ruins the vibe.

Hope this inspires you to try some fun lashes and also get creative with non-costume eyelashes!

  2. Now I know that I will be making dramatic lashes part of my look for next Halloween.

    Beautiful, despite the goulishness. :)
